From Despair to Hope

Many couples that adopt have done it out of the desire to parent a child.  For some unfortunate couples this comes about due to infertility problems.  When couples experience these problems they often have spent considerable time and money on doctors, medications, and much more.  The decision to stop trying other methods of of conceiving is a difficult one that often can lead to serious marital problems.  More over, the decision to adopt out of these circumstances if hard to make.  Many people struggle with this decision because it means not having a biological child and they are concerned with their ability to love an adopted child as much as a biological one.

Check out the inspiring story of the Daniels Family and what they went through to find the greatest joy of their lives.  They will the first to tell you that all the struggles and anxiety pay off the day you bring a child home as your own.

Adoption Fair Coming Soon

Southland Adoption Support Group

The 3rd Annual Adoption and Orphan Care Event is coming up on Sunday November 7th at Southland Christian Church.  Spread the word to everyone you know.  This year they will have agencies representing both foreign and domestic adoption, orphan care and foster care.  This is not just for people looking to start or add to their families.  Adoption, foster care, and orphan care takes a lot of support sources and funding from family and friends.  We hope that you will come and check it out and be part of taking care of our children.  If you are someone that has been adopted, adoptive parent, A birth parent, or anything else within the adoption world then I hope you will stop by and have your picture taken.  I will be set-up for pictures before and after services as well as during the event.  Everyone who gets their picture taken for the adoption work gets a free copy of the final image.

Hope to see you there.

Getting Started!

Rob, Joan, Jacob, Ashley & Linda

Welcome to my new site on adoption.  The purpose of this site is to help inspire others to adopt or help others in the process.  I am in the process of photographing people that have adopted, been adopted, given up a child to adoption and help in the adoption process.  I will add links to organizations that are about adoption and talk about adoption related issues.  I think it is important to get the word out about these issues so that society can see both how many children are in need of a good home as well as how many people are wanting to adopt a child.  The adoption process is a long, expensive, and exhausting process to go through.  In the end it is one of the greatest experiences in the world.  Under the Personal Stories tab you can view the images I have made of people that have and are going through this process.  I am asking them to tell me their story in full so that you can see both the positive and negative side of adoption.  These stories are touching and wonderful insights into many personal lives.  To experience them tell their stories in person is a moving experience that words can not describe.

I hope you enjoy looking at this sight and that you will take an active roll in sharing your story, opinions, suggest links, and maybe one day participate in one of the photo-shoots.  My ultimate goal is to publish a book of the work that I can give away (at no cost) to adoption agencies and organizations.
